Her extensive legal expertise, combined with her deep commitment to inclusivity, ensures that every client feels heard, respected, and supported.
Sara Strain
Assistant
Sara has always had a deep interest in the law, influenced by her upbringing in a family with a parent practicing in family law and her personal experience of being adopted. With a particular passion for family law, Sara is committed to making the legal process accessible and supportive for all.

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, an autistic woman, and a woman of color, Sara brings a unique perspective to her work and is dedicated to advocating for legal evolution that addresses systemic challenges. She is a strong ally for marginalized communities and believes in using the law as a tool for positive changes especially in areas where the legal system has served to disadvantage communities rather than protect them.

Outside of work, Sara enjoys capturing the beauty of nature through photography, as well as reading, writing, and spending time with her loved ones—both human and furry. She is fluent in both English and French and is eager to learn a third language in the future.
Frannie
Chief Comfort Officer
As Chief Comfort Officer, Frannie brings a calming presence to Strain and Company, ensuring that clients and staff alike feel at ease the moment they step into the office. Her warmth and playful spirit help make even the most stressful legal matters a little less daunting.
In addition to her office duties, Frannie also makes regular appearances in the blog, "From the Desk of the Junior Partner," where she lends her friendly face to Senior Lawyer Elisabeth Strain’s insightful discussions on various legal topics.
